Terrance Dixon tried a banana shot from distance!. Raymund Wescott approached too late to block it.

But it was horribly wide of the target ... He should have kicked himself for missing what was such an easy chance.

Jimi Hodson out-jumped Duke Readdie , then headed the ball clear.

Albert Bass supplied a float cross, Leighton Blake stretched to intercept but he couldn't reach it.

Abraham Kendrick rose bravely above Jimi Hodson to win the ball, then performed a glancing header for the goal.
